The Healing Power of Sufi Meditation
For those who have reached a level of understanding of the illusory nature of the world around us and seek to discern the reality that lies behind it, Sufi meditation - muraqabah - is the doorwaye through which we can pass from this realm of delusion into the realm of realities. Through meditation the seeker has a means to return to his or her perfected original self. Muraqabah is the fastest and most direct method for advancing in spiritual degrees. It is in fact a migration from one's self to God. Through meditation higher states of consciousness are attained, and the connection to the seeker's true inner self is established, built-up and maintained, providing the practictioner with a lifeline to the Divine Presence. This book presents the spiritual background behind the practice of meditation, then takes the reader step-by-step, through the basics of spiritual connection based on the ancient teachings of the Naqshbandi Sufi masters of

Angels take any form they wish in the physical world. As crystal water takes the form of the cup in which it is poured, angels can take the form of any creation which they visit. They do not retain their full original form of light when they are sent to human beings: "Say: If there were in the earth angels walking secure, We had sent down for them from heaven an angel [without change] as messenger" (17:95). Angels can come as birds, as human beings, or as a form of light like a rainbow adorning the sky. They have a mind and a heart, but no will and no desire other than to serve and obey God. They are never too proud to obey Him.
Angels worship day and night without fatigue. They do not need to sleep, as their eyes never tire. They know no heedlessness. Their attention never wavers. Their food is glorification of God, their drink is to sanctify and to magnify Him. Their intimacy is in calling their Lord through hymning and singing His praise. Their enjoyment is to serve Him. They are devoid of any and all physiological restraints. They suffer no mood-changes.
Angels inhabit
Angels are more knowledgeable than human beings. The teacher, again, is better than the student. Their knowledge is of two kinds: intellectual and traditional. "Intellectual" means here: "of the essence of reality" or "of the heart." "Traditional" means: "revealed and translated down from above."

For without our beloved Prophet SAW, we would never have been guided to know Allah SWT, the Mighty and Sublime, nor of the Angels, the prophets, the books of revelation nor of the Afterlife.
When our master 'Ali RA was asked about the strength of his devotion to Allah's Prophet SAW, he replied: “By Allah SWT, we cherished him more than we did our children, our parents and all of our possessions. He was much dearer to us than fresh water is for a thirsty soul.” Such was the esteem and the honor the Prophet SAW was held in by his Companions. By the same token, the hearts of true believers ought to be filled with similar devotion to the Prophet SAW.
Sending blessings on Allah's Beloved SAW is certainly the best way of invoking him, in compliance with the command of the Lord Almighty. In thus blessing him we show him gratitude and acknowledge his countless favors to us. To send blessings on the Prophet SAW is only a negligible payment for the unending benefits and good we have seen through him. In truth, to thank the Prophet SAW is to thank Allah SWT, and Allah SWT Himself is Champion and Supporter of those who honor His Beloved Messenger SAW. Blessing the Prophet SAW is a token of devotion, obedience and the highest form of worship to bring the believer closer to Allah SWT. The Almighty reserves the best rewards and the most complete forgiveness for those who continually bless His Prophet SAW. Suffice it to point out in this respect that it is out of honor and commendation of His Prophet SAW that Allah SWT revealed this Quranic verse starting with His Divine Self and followed by His Angels, orders His servants thus:
“Allah SWT and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet SAW; O ye who believe! Send your blessings on him and salute him with all respect.”
Following this verse, obligating believers to praise the Prophet SAW, Allah SWT then describes the incomparable Bounty that He is:
”Allah SWT did confer a great favor on the believers, when He sent among them a messenger from among themselves, rehearsing unto them the signs of Allah SWT, purifying them and instructing them in the Book and wisdom, while before that, they had been in manifest error.”
In obedience to the Divine Order and in expression of our love and admiration for the Treasure house of Allah's Munificence and the Manifestation of the Reality of The Almighty's Divine Names and Attributes, and in the blessed tradition of our ancestors and predecessors in faith, we present this book of perfumed verse dedicated to the love of our Master, and the Master of All Creation, Prophet Muhammad SAW, upon whom be the choices of Allah's peace and blessings, and upon his Family, Companions, House and Followers, up to the Day of Rising.
